SUNFLOWER PROJECT |
SUNNINGDALE SCHOOL SUNFLOWER PROJECT 1997DescriptionIn June 1997 the school's naturalization project committee decided to kick-start the process with a FUN project: THE SUNFLOWER GARDENOakville Hydro sponsored and provided used utility poles that were then cut and placed into four sunflower beds filled with topsoil. Each student then planted their own sunflower seed. All the sunflowers were doing well as the students left for the summer holidays, but then in July came nasty vandals and destroyed most of the young plants. About 20-30 survived out of the over 500. Enjoy the pictures. |
