The RECTORY GARDEN Project

PHASE I: the preparation

On a sunny Saturday morning April 26th, 1997 several parishioners came out to assist in shaping the new planting bed for the MARY MOTHER of GOD Parish rectory office on 463 Glenashton Drive in Oakville, ON.

Father Charlie would like to thank the following for helping out:
By the way, Father Charlie DID pick up a shovel, a brand new one at that, with a padded handle, and worked up a sweat .... and a thank you to Father Charlie for the refreshments. A special thanks goes out to Agram Garden Centre.

All work was carefully guided and assisted by Marius F.M. de Bruyn, OALA, CSLA, ASLA, principal of AESTHETICS+DESIGN landscape architects

PHASE II: the planting

The planting took place in June 1997 after the rectory office's front windows received a new paint job and a set of new shutters. The new set of stairs - well, hopefully soon.

A simple garden was created by using the following plant material:
(pictures will eventually appear!)
